HOW DOES THE FREIGHT EXCHANGE WORK?

The Freight Exchange is a transportation transaction platform, an accessible freight management software via a web browser, which greatly helps to match the available capacity of carriers with the needs of shippers in a puzzle-like manner. It assists in finding each other easily and comfortably based on route, dates, and vehicle requirements/capacity, thereby efficiently fulfilling transportation solutions. The algorithms of the Freight Exchange bring together the 'puzzle pieces' of transportation. Our carrier partners can use the Freight Exchange's freight transaction platform without a subscription, while our shippers can access it for free.

Our shippers can create transportation requests for free, and our carrier partners can send rate offers to these requests without a subscription.

Frequently Asked Questions about the Freight Exchange:

Is the Freight Exchange like a forwarding company?

No. The Freight Exchange is an online, web-based software that can be used from anywhere in the world via the internet, even on mobile phones, which automates, through its built-in algorithms, the connection between carriers and shippers by puzzle-like matching of needs and capacities, even without freight forwarders or logistics coordinators.

Example: if János, the carrier, has subscribed for available capacity for van-sized/weight consignments between Munich - Budapest or Milan - Budapest - for instance for the period between December 2 and 20 -, the Freight Exchange will send him an immediate notification about related new requests so that he can send offers to those requests first, outperforming everyone else, whether they are private or corporate shippers who uploaded the requests.

This way, a highly beneficial solution/agreement can be created for both parties with the help of the Freight Exchange.

How much does it cost for shippers to use the Freight Exchange?

Creating requests is free for shippers. A minimum cost may arise only if they use the Freight Exchange regularly and send many messages to the carriers making offers. Messages can be sent for a fee of 100 HUF per message, which amount is deducted from the balance of the Freight Exchange account that starts from 0 HUF when registering, but is creditworthy up to -1,000 HUF. If the balance account does not reach a debt of 1,000 HUF, there is no need to top up the balance, hence occasional shippers can use the request service for free.

How much does it cost for carriers to use the Freight Exchange?

Our carriers can use the Freight Exchange even without a subscription, and they can send offers for shipments uploaded by the shippers even without a subscription.

If the shipper accepts the carrier's offer, the Freight Exchange will deduct a 10% transaction fee from the carrier’s balance based on the established freight fee. The shipper does not have to pay anything. Once the Freight Exchange successfully deducts the 10% commission from the available amount, the parties will receive each other’s direct contact details at that moment, after which they can fine-tune the performance details, for example, via phone.

The carrier can decide whether it is worth using the Freight Exchange with a subscription.

With a valid subscription, the carrier’s phone number will be displayed alongside the submitted offers, allowing for much faster communication channels for discussions and clarifications of details (e.g., via phone) compared to circumstantial message exchanges.
