Why is the sky blue?
The blue color of the sky is due to Rayleigh scattering. Rayleigh scattering is the phenomenon when light is scattered by small particles (such as molecules). Blue light has a longer wavelength than red light, which is why blue light is scattered more by the molecules than red light. This is why we see the sky as blue.
